Basic Muffin Recipe (Makes ~12 Soft & Fluffy Muffins)

Dry ingredients:

2 cups all‑purpose flour

Âľ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

Wet ingredients:

2 large eggs

½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter for richer flavor)

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional add‑ins: (pick any you like)

Chocolate chips

Fresh or frozen blueberries

1 mashed ripe banana

Chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, pecans)

👩‍🍳 Method (Step‑by‑Step)

Preheat your oven to about 180 °C (350 °F). Line a muffin tin with paper cases or grease it.

In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients — flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the oil, milk, and vanilla extract — mix until smooth.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined (don’t overmix).

If using add‑ins, fold them into the batter now.

Divide the batter evenly into the muffin tin — about ¾ full for each cup.

Bake in the preheated oven for 18–25 minutes, until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let them cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
