Crispy Oven Potato Bake (3 Ingredients)
A super simple potato recipe: crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside.
🧂 Ingredients:
3 lbs (about 1.3 kg) potatoes
1½ teaspoons salt (or to taste)
1/3 cup vegetable oil (sunflower or any neutral oil)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Peel the potatoes and grate them finely.
Place the shredded potatoes in cold water for a few minutes to remove excess starch.
Drain very well, then squeeze out as much water as possible using a clean towel. (This step is very important for crispiness.)
Transfer to a bowl, add salt and half of the oil, and mix well.
Spread the potatoes evenly on a greased baking tray, pressing them down firmly into a thin, compact layer.
Brush the top with the remaining oil.
Bake:
25–30 minutes at 220°C (425°F)
Then increase to 230°C (450°F) and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy
Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before cutting.
