Ingredients
3 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into cubes
1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 egg
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for coating)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Oil for frying
👨‍🍳 Instructions
Mash the boiled potatoes until smooth.
Add salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and flour. Mix well.
Take a small portion of the potato mixture, flatten it, place a mozzarella cube in the center, and shape it into a ball.
In one bowl, beat the egg, and place the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
Dip each potato ball in the egg, then roll it in breadcrumbs to coat completely.
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer and fry the balls until golden and crispy.
Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serve hot with ketchup or garlic sauce.
🍴 Tips
Let the potatoes cool slightly before shaping to maintain the shape.
Add chopped parsley to the potato mixture for extra flavor.
For a healthier version, bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes instead of frying.
