Ultimate Fudgy Chocolate Brownies
These homemade brownies are rich, chewy, soft in the center, and packed with deep chocolate flavor. With their shiny crackly tops and gooey texture, they taste just like bakery-style brownies but are incredibly easy to make at home.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Optional: chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
Step 2: Melt the Butter
In a medium bowl, melt the butter until smooth. You can do this in the microwave or on the stovetop. Let it cool slightly before adding the other ingredients.
Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients
Add the sugar to the melted butter and stir well. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Mix until the batter becomes glossy and smooth.
Step 4: Add the Dry Ingredients
Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently until everything is fully combined. Avoid overmixing so the brownies stay soft and fudgy.
Step 5: Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips for extra gooey chocolate flavor. You can also add nuts if you like a little crunch.
Step 6: Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
Bake for 20–25 minutes. The edges should look set while the center stays slightly soft. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with a few moist crumbs.
Step 7: Cool and Slice
Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing. This helps them set properly and gives cleaner cuts.
Serving Ideas:
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream

Pair with coffee or cold milk
