Air Fryer Lava Cake — Easy & Delicious

This is a simple molten chocolate cake you make in an air fryer. The outside bakes into a soft cake while the inside stays gooey and melted — just like a lava cake!

Ingredients

100 g dark chocolate (chopped)

100 g unsalted butter

2 eggs

2 egg yolks

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup all‑purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat your air fryer to about 180 °C (350 °F).

Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heat‑proof bowl until smooth.

In another bowl, whisk the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale and slightly thickened.

Add the vanilla extract and pinch of salt.

Fold the melted chocolate into the egg mixture gently.

Sift in the flour and fold until just combined (don’t overmix).

Grease small ramekins or silicone molds and divide the batter evenly.

Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket and air fry for about 8‑12 minutes. The outside should be set, but the center still molten.

Let the cakes rest for a minute, then invert onto plates.
