How to Wash Broccoli Properly
Separate the florets: Break the broccoli into small florets so water can reach all parts.
Soak in water: Place the broccoli in a bowl of cold water for 2–3 minutes to remove dirt and small insects.
Gentle rubbing: Move the florets around with your hands to wash all surfaces.
Rinse under running water: After soaking and rubbing, let cold running water flow over all the florets to remove any remaining debris.
Drain and dry: Use a colander or a clean towel to dry the broccoli before cooking or storing.
💡 Extra tips:
Do not use soap or chemicals to wash broccoli.
Wash it right before cooking or eating; leaving it wet can make it spoil faster.
If you notice small insects, you can soak the broccoli in water with a little salt for 5 minutes before rinsing.
