Seven Layer Taco Salad
🛒 Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can (15 oz) refried beans
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 packet taco seasoning (for the dressing)
2 cups shredded lettuce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) black olives, sliced
1–2 cups crushed tortilla chips
👩🍳 Instructions:
Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning with a little water. Let it simmer for a few minutes, then cool.
Make the dressing
In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning until smooth.
Layer the salad
In a large glass dish (or bowl), layer the ingredients in this order:
Refried beans (spread evenly on the bottom)
Seasoned ground beef
Sour cream mixture
Shredded lettuce
Tomatoes
Cheddar cheese
Black olives
Top it off
Add crushed tortilla chips on top just before serving for crunch.
