KFC-Style Air Fryer Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
1 kg chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, or wings)
2 cups buttermilk
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Cooking oil spray
Instructions:
Place chicken in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight preferred).
In another bowl, mix flour with all spices.
Remove chicken from buttermilk and let excess drip off.
Coat each piece in the seasoned flour. For extra crispiness, dip again in buttermilk, then flour.
Lightly spray chicken with oil.
Preheat air fryer to 180°C.
Arrange chicken in a single layer in the basket.
Cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and fully cooked.
