Cinnamon Donut Bread
Ingredients
For the Bread
1½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup buttermilk (or milk)
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping
¼ cup melted butter
⅓ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
In another bowl, mix sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Add the buttermilk and stir well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool slightly, then brush the top with melted butter.
Mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the bread to create the classic donut coating.
