Chocolate Marble Cake Recipe
Ingredients
100 g dark chocolate
120 g soft butter or margarine
140 g sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar (or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract)
3 eggs
220 g all-purpose flour
1 packet baking powder (about 10 g)
120 ml milk
A pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf cake pan.
Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler and let it cool slightly.
In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until the mixture becomes light and creamy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla sugar.
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the batter gradually, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
Divide the batter into two equal parts.
Mix the melted chocolate into one half of the batter.
Pour the vanilla batter and chocolate batter alternately into the prepared pan.
Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the two batters to create a marble effect.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool before slicing and serving.
