Here’s a fun brain teaser that has puzzled thousands of people online:

How many holes are in this shirt?

At first glance, many people answer 6—counting the neck opening, the two sleeves, the bottom opening, and the two visible tears. But look a little closer!

The shirt has 4 normal openings:

1 neck hole

2 sleeve holes

1 bottom hole

That’s 4 holes already.

Now consider the two torn holes in the fabric. Since you can see the background through them, the tears go through both the front and back of the shirt. That means each tear counts as 2 holes, not just 1.

Large tear = 2 holes

Small tear = 2 holes

So the total is:

4 + 2 + 2 = 8 holes

Did you get it right on your first try, or did this tricky puzzle fool you too? 🤔👕✨
