🔥1. Preparing the oven and the baking pan

Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).

Grease or butter a mold and then lightly flour it.

🥣2. Ingredients

🧪Liquid ingredients

2 eggs

225 g of sugar (≈ 1 cup)

250 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice

Zest of an orange

200g of vegetable oil or melted butter

🌾Dry ingredients

2 cups of sifted flour (≈ 260 g)

1 tablespoon of baking powder (≈ 12 g)

🍊For the syrup

200 ml of orange juice

7 tablespoons of sugar

Step 1: Mix the liquid ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk 2 eggs with 225g of sugar until you obtain a smooth mixture.

Add 250 ml of orange juice and the zest. Mix.

Next, add 200g of oil (or melted butter). Mix until you obtain a smooth texture.

Step 2: Prepare the dry ingredients

In another bowl, mix

  • 2 cups of sifted flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Mix well to distribute the yeast evenly.
