How to effectively remove grease and oil stains from clothes

Why are grease stains difficult to remove?

Effective methods for removing grease and oil stains

1. Talcum powder or cornstarch (immediate absorption)

If the stain is fresh, it is best to absorb the grease before it penetrates deeply.

Sprinkle a generous amount  of talcum powder or cornstarch  on the stain.

Leave it on for  10-15 minutes  so that it absorbs the grease.

Brush off the dust and proceed with your usual washing.

2. Dish soap (dissolves grease)

The dish soap is formulated to dissolve grease and also works great on fabrics.

Apply a drop of  dish soap  directly to the stain.

Rub gently with your fingers or a sponge.

Leave it on for  10 minutes  and then rinse with warm water.

3. Baking soda and white vinegar (natural degreaser)

This combination is effective for removing stubborn stains on light or colored garments.

Pour  white vinegar on top  and let it sit for  10 minutes .

Rub lightly and rinse before putting the garment in the washing machine.

4. Denatured alcohol (for stubborn stains)

Dab the stain with a  cotton ball soaked in denatured alcohol .

Leave it on for  5 minutes  and then rinse with warm water.

Proceed with your usual washing.

5. Chalk or flour (ideal for delicate fabrics)

If the fabric is delicate, such as silk or wool, use white chalk or flour.

Sprinkle the stain with  crushed chalk or flour .

Let it absorb for  an hour .

Remove dust and wash the garment as normal.
