Here’s a simple full recipe based on that slow “meat falls apart” style dish:

🍲 Slow-Cooked Tender Beef (Fork-Fall-Apart Recipe)

🧾 Ingredients

1.2–1.5 kg beef chuck (or any stewing beef cut)

2 onions, sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 carrots, chopped

3 potatoes, chopped (optional)

2 tbsp tomato paste

2 cups beef broth (or water + stock cube)

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried thyme (or mixed herbs)

1 bay leaf

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Sear the meat

Heat olive oil in a large pot. Brown the beef on all sides to lock in flavor.

Add aromatics

Add onions and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.

Build the sauce

Stir in tomato paste, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and bay leaf.

Add liquid

Pour in beef broth and bring to a light boil.

Slow cook

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

(Or bake in oven at 160°C for the same time.)

Add vegetables (optional)

Add carrots and potatoes in the last 1 hour of cooking.

Finish

When the meat is very soft and easily falls apart with a fork, it’s ready.

🍽️ Serving

Serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or bread. Spoon the rich sauce over everything.

💡 Tip

The longer and slower it cooks, the more tender and flavorful it becomes. Low heat is the secret.
