It looked fleshy, pinkish, and covered in what appeared to be dozens of tiny, predatory legs or spikes. Our minds immediately raced to the worst-case scenarios: Was it a rare tropical parasite? A dangerous burrowing insect? We were already mentally calculating the heavy cost of a late-night emergency vet visit, terrified for our dog’s safety.<\/p>\n \u200bWe hovered over him with phone flashlights, examining the “creature” from every angle, too spooked to even touch it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [adinserter block=”4″]<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u200bFinally, armed with a pair of tweezers and a lot of hesitation, I stepped in to end the uncertainty.
