In the countryside, where livestock and pets create a constant stream of manure, expecting no flies is unrealistic. But in a cottage village!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lately, we\u2019ve had a real invasion of flies. The warming and heat did their job \u2014 the buzzing army multiplied to incredible numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, many people in cottage villages have started keeping livestock. There\u2019s a neighbor with turkeys, another with chickens, and across the diagonal \u2014 chickens, turkeys, geese, and even a few goats. Not to mention the equestrian school across the street, which adds horse manure to the mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All this makes our workshop window an open invitation for flies. We closed the windows, hung mosquito nets and fabric scraps over the doors. We put up sticky tapes on the ceiling, which quickly filled with flies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We tried \u201cDichlorvos Terminator,\u201d but it was ineffective. We also used the \u201cSvernytay Gazeta\u201d method, but the flies kept coming back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I remembered the clove oil concentrate we bought at the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. Unlike the diluted oils on the market, this was highly concentrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I sprayed this mixture on the curtains, nets, and screens, and placed cotton balls with the oil around the windows. And after 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes\u2026 the flies disappeared!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
